The kind of hard falls above, using soccer tackles by way of example, happen in most every sport to players of every age.*
Trip Tackles, Shove Tackles, Block Tackles, Hold Tackles,
Jumping Self-falls, Diving Self-Falls, Self-Trips, and other falls.
If there is regular contact between athletes, you will see ground impact, and all ground impact causes injury - from micro-muscle tears (causing soreness and aching the next day) to acute injuries that send you to a hospital.
Resistance falling means some kind of pain - always.
